Vatnajökull Glacier Snowmobile Tour
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet at base camp located 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn to start this snowmobile ride around the Vatnajökull glacier. It'll be an adventure you'll remember forever!
After a brief safety talk, we'll board the vehicle and explore the snowy landscape of Vatnajökull. Feel the adrenaline as you drive on top of the largest glacier in Iceland!
Halfway around the route, we'll make stops to enjoy some of the incredible views of the glacier and the surrounding area covered in snow and ice. If you're lucky, you may even see the tallest peaks in the east and south of Iceland.
As well as the excitement of driving a snowmobile, we'll tell you different stories and facts about the glacier. Did you know that its average thickness is 400 metres (1310 feet) and that its mass exceeds that of any other glacier in Europe?
Three hours later, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial meeting point. See you soon!
