Are you in Hobart and looking for an amazing day out? If so, this trip to Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park is the one for you!

Description

On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Hobart. From Hobart, we'll make our way towards Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's east coast, a truly unique part of the world. This part of Australia is renowned for its pink granite mountains, friendly wildlife and rugged coastline. Be sure to bring your camera! Not long after setting off, we'll stop at a Bakery where you can enjoy coffee or breakfast if you wish.

Before reaching Wineglass Bay, we'll make a stop at the beautiful Georgian town of Richmond. We'll pull up at Richmond Bridge, the oldest convict-constructed bridge in Australia that's still in use today. A testament to Tasmania's convict heritage, this beautiful man-made structure has stood the test of time. Richmond is surrounded by picturesque surroundings, brimming with amazing wildlife such as friendly little ducks.

Next, from Richmond, we'll head eastwards toward the Great Eastern Drive and into the town of Buckland. This is where the Church of John the Baptist is located, which was built by convicts in 1846 from local sandstone. We'll discover the story behind its stunning stained glass windows.

From this point in Tasmania, we'll continue our tour and eventually reach the east coast and the small village of Orford. Near Orford is an amazing beach called Raspins where we'll admire the amazing views across Prosser Bay to Maria Island and listen to a couple of stories.

Continuing this amazing tour around Tasmania, we'll then be taken to the Freycinet National Park, again, along the Great Eastern Drive. Once we arrive at the national park, where we'll spend around 4 hours, we'll embark on a 45-minute walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout. As we make our way towards the viewpoint, we'll see many different species of native animals. Once we reach the lookout, we'll take plenty of time to take in the views before walking back down. If you'd like, you'll also be free to walk down to Wineglass Bay Beach.

While at the park, we recommend stopping off for a bite to eat at one of the wineries. If you fancy seafood, we recommend visiting the Marine Farm. In addition, before we depart the park and make our way to Hobart, we'll visit Kate's Berry Farm for some delicious ice cream and other tasty treats.

After 11 hours together, we'll bring this tour of Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park to an end. Until next time!
