Day Trip to Richmond & Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary
Tour Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel and from there head to the top of Mount Wellington for one of the best views in the entire city. Along the way, we'll see Salamanca Place and Battery Point, two of the most iconic buildings in Hobart.
After enjoying the stunning scenic views from Mount Wellington, we'll head to Richmond to learn about its history. Did you know the Richmond Bridge, Australia's oldest stone bridge built by prisoners, is found here? We'll also see other buildings built by the inmates, such as St John's Church.
After the visit, we'll give you an hour of free time so that you can explore Richmond, shop in its stores, or have lunch in one of its restaurants. The choice is yours!
Afterward, we'll set off to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to learn about the unique wildlife of Tasmania. Here, we'll go on a guided tour to get up close and personal with the famous Tasmanian devils. You'll also have the chance to see other local species such as wombats, quolls, possums, wallabies, koalas, and much more. You can even feed them!
Finally, we'll make our way back to your hotel in Hobart, where we'll conclude this 5.5-hour day trip.
