Bruny Island Day Trip
Bruny Island Day Trip
At 7:45 am, we'll meet at Hobart Harbour and travel to the south of the island by bus. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at Kettering Wharf where we'll take a 10-minute ferry ride to Bruny Island.
When we get there, we'll set off on a bus tour of Bruny Island to discover its main scenic and gastronomic treasures. Our first stop will be at a local restaurant where we'll taste some cheese and beer. Afterwards, we'll continue our tour of the island and admire fantastic views from The Neck Lookout.
Our day trip will then take us into the Mavista Rainforest, where we'll take a walk to try and spot its white kangaroos. Next, we'll head to a restaurant overlooking Adventure Bay for a delicious lunch including a serving of oysters and two glasses of wine, beer, cider or juice.
After having lunch in Adventure Bay, we'll visit the Bligh Museum to learn all about the history of Bruny. Having learned some fascinating facts about the island, we'll head to the Two Tree Point observation deck.
The next stop will be at the HIBA Gardens, followed by the Bruny Island Chocolate Company. Get ready to sample some cocoa-based treats at the latter! We'll also stop at two local landmarks where you can sample and purchase local honey and oysters.
We'll finish our tour of Bruny at the pier in the north of the island and hop on the ferry that'll take us back to Kettering. From Kettering, we'll take the bus to Hobart and drop you off at 6 pm.
