Ho Chi Minh takes on a magical air at nighttime, and there is no better way to experience it than on a nighttime motorbike tour around the city.
Motorbike Night Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel at 6 pm to begin this nighttime motorbike adventure around what used to be the ancient city of Saigon.
We'll start the tour at the Thich Quang Duc monument, dedicated to a Buddhist monk who set himself on fire to protest the persecution of Buddhists in Vietnam. The guide will tell us all about this terrible period in Vietnamese history.
We'll recharge our batteries with a mouth-watering typical Vietnamese dish, Com Tam or Broken rice. This dish is made of rice, vegetables, barbeque pork and other delicious ingredients. Then we'll put our helmets back on and ride down to the city's historic quarter, where we'll see the Vietnamese way of life and admire the historical buildings.
We'll continue our tour until we reach Ben Thanh, the city's famous flower market. We'll wander around its stalls and enjoy the pleasant aroma of the flowers.
Afterwards, we'll go to another of the city's most famous markets; the floating market. We'll watch this fascinating scene of boats, oars, fruit and vegetables. If you've never seen a floating market, we can assure you it's an experience you won't forget!
Next, we'll hop back on our motorbikes and speed off to the Ho Chi Minh suburbs to see the most modest area of the city and the lifestyles of its inhabitants. Then we'll drive through the old mafia territory, where the guide will tell us about the events that occurred in this area before we eventually head back to our hotel at 10 pm.
Pick up
The tour includes pick up from accommodation in districts 1, 3 and 5. If your hotel is located in another district you must arrange a pick up point with your guide or pay an extra cost of 3 American dollars in cash on the day of the activity.
