Cu Chi Tunnels Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at the Saigon Waterbus Station. We'll board a luxury speedboat that will take us to the Cu Chi tunnels, the famous underground passageways built by Vietnamese guerrillas during the war.
On the boat trip, you'll enjoy a small breakfast consisting of a typical dessert, fresh fruit, and water as you admire the beauty of the natural surroundings.
After an hour we'll arrive at the Cu Chi tunnels. First, we'll watch a short documentary that will tell us all about why the Viet Cong soldiers built this network of underground passageways, what they were used for, and the living conditions inside them. We'll venture through the Vietnamese jungle until we find the secret entrances to the tunnels and make our way inside them, where we'll discover the traps used to deceive the enemy and the bunkers.
When we leave the tunnels, we'll head to the trenches where we'll practice shooting with one of the AK-47s used by the Viet Cong. We'll also see a place where the rice paper used to wrap spring rolls and rice wine is produced.
Time for a little rest! We'll replenish our strength with some green tea and tapioca. After that, we'll head back by boat to the Tan Cang Port.
Before returning to the hotels, we'll complete the trip with a seven-course traditional meal in a restaurant.
We'll get back to the meeting point after a total of 6 hours.
Shooting practice
- You must be over 12 years old to participate in the shooting practice with an AK-47.
- If you choose to do this activity, you'll have to pay ₫ 600,000 (US$ 23.60) per person for 10 bullets on the day of the tour.
