On this day trip to Can Gio, a designated Biosphere Reserve, we'll explore a crocodile farm, venture to Monkey Island, and hike to the Rung Sac military base.
Itinerary
We'll pick you up at your hotel in District 1 or the specified location at the scheduled time. From there, we'll leave Ho Chi Minh City behind and start our journey along the Huynh Tan Phat road.
We'll then arrive in Binh Khanh district and take a ferry to Can Gio, an area declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
Our first stop in Can Gio will be Monkey Island, where we'll come across more than a thousand playful primates. After that, we'll proceed to the Hoa Ca crocodile farm, where you'll have the opportunity to observe these fascinating reptiles up close.
Then, we'll go on a 30-minute hike through the forest, leading us to the Rung Sac military base. Here, you'll have the chance to explore a bunker, observe old bombs and mines, and discover a gallery of tunnels that extend into the mangroves. For those interested, an option to reach Rung Sac by canoe is available.
Around noon, we'll pause for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor the flavors of southern Vietnamese cuisine. Then, we'll continue our journey through Can Gio as we explore a fish and seafood market.
To end the day, we'll make our way back to Ho Chi Minh City and the original pickup location, completing the tour approximately 10 hours after pickup.
