Day Trip Description
At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hermosillo and head towards San Nicolas, a desert area with large sand dunes, ideal for sand boarding. Are you ready for an adventure?
As we make the 1.5-hour drive, we'll stop at the impressive Sahuaros forest. This natural space, known for its imposing cacti that can reach up to 14 meters (45.9) tall, is sure to captivate you!
Afterward, we'll move on to the famous San Nicolas dunes to go sand boarding. If you're a first-timer, don't worry, sand boarding is easier than it looks. We'll start easy, with a small 7-meter (23 feet) hill, before moving on to a 9-meter (29.5 feet) tall dune. Once you have the hang of it and feel ready, we'll take on the 50-meter (150-foot) tall dune. Fun guaranteed!
Once we've conquered the dunes of San Nicolas, you'll have 2 hours of free time to relax on the pristine beach of San Nicolas, where the desert meets the sea. You can take a swim or simply sunbathe in this paradisiacal spot.
Then we'll go to Bahia de Kino, where you can enjoy lunch at any of the local restaurants nearby. After a rest, we'll visit the Comcaác Museum, to learn about the history and culture of the region. To end the day on a high note, we'll head to the Kino Viejo pier, to capture some beautiful photos of the sunset over the Sea of Cortez.
After a day full of adventures, we'll return to Hermosillo, arriving 10 to 11 hours after pickup.
