San Carlos Day Trip
San Carlos Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Hermosillo and head to San Carlos, the state's most prized tourist jewel. This spot also has one of the most spectacular sea views in the world - let's go!
We'll arrive at a pearl farm on the Sea of Cortez, where we'll learn about the importance of this jewel in the state of Sonora and how the oysters are processed to produce the best pearls.
Once in San Carlos, we'll visit the Estero del Soldado wetland, a protected natural area that serves as a refuge for species such as the coyote, white-tailed deer, wild boar and desert fox. There we'll learn curious facts about the area's native species and enjoy a 1-hour kayak tour of the lagoon to see its mangroves and birds.
Afterwards, we'll head to the San Carlos viewpoint, one of the most spectacular ocean views in the world according to National Geographic magazine. From here, you'll be able to take the best photos of the Sea of Cortez and admire one of the most impressive places in the Gulf of California: Mount Tetakawi.
After enjoying the panoramic views, we'll leave you free time to take a dip at the beach of Piedras Pintas. If you brought a picnic, this will also be the best time to recharge your batteries.
We'll then board a yacht and sail along the coastline of San Carlos to admire the skyline of the town and the majestic desert landscapes of Sonora.
Finally, we'll make our way back to Hermosillo, where we'll arrive at the hotel 10 hours after pickup.
