At the designated time on the morning of the excursion, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hermosillo and hit the road for El Colorado Beach, a tranquil oasis on the Gulf of California. The drive will take about an hour and a half.
Once we arrive, it won't take long to realize the origin of its name, boasting landscapes with a very particular reddish tone. First, we'll go on a two-hour hike to the top of the famous Cerro Colorado to see the area's picturesque caves and take in views of the landscape from up above.
After our hike, you can choose to enjoy some free time or to board a boat for an hour-long cruise across the Sea of Cortez, enjoying the crystal clear waters of this nook on the Sonoran coast. During the ride, keep an eye out for pelicans and schools of fish - we may even see a sea lion colony!
Afterward, you'll have about 6 hours of free time to enjoy the beach and lunch at a restaurant in the area. Later, if you'd like you can go kayaking to explore the surrounding area at your own pace as we enjoy the sunset.
Later, we'll head back to Hermosillo, arriving at your hotel 12 hours later.
