Sipoonkorpi National Park Excursion + Finnish Sauna

  • 2 reviews | 16 travellers
The hiking route is beautiful. Alex was attentive to the little group the entire time and made us a very delicious meal. It is charming and explains what we are seeing along the route. Finishing with the sauna and bathing in the lake was most relaxing.

Sipoonkorpi National Park Excursion + Finnish Sauna

At the appointed time, we'll meet at Mannerheiminaukio. From this point in central Helsinki, we'll set off by minibus to Sipoonkorpi National Park.

Traveling north for about 40 minutes, we'll reach the vicinity of Sipoonkorpi. Once there, we'll embark on a hiking route in which we'll see the scenic landscapes of Finland, blending seamlessly with areas full of birds and mammals typical of the forests of southern Finland.

Throughout the tour, we'll make different stops to learn all about the wildlife of Sipoonkorpi and pass by lakes, cliffs, and rock formations that will leave you speechless. You won't be able to stop taking photos!

Halfway, we'll reach a lake where we'll enjoy a comforting typical meal. With your appetite satiated, we'll continue walking along the trails of Sipoonkorpi until we reach a smoke sauna, one of the most famous Finnish traditions. The perfect way to eliminate stress!

You can enter the sauna at a temperature between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius, where water is slowly poured over the rocks to create the therapeutic cloud of steam called löylö. The next step in enjoying the sauna experience takes us to the water. As the sauna is located next to a lake, we recommend taking a dip in order to take advantage of the refreshing properties of the cold water. A unique experience!

Finally, we'll start the walk back to the starting point, after which we'll return by minibus to Helsinki, ending the tour of Sipoonkorpi National Park after 6 hours.
