Nuuksio National Park Hike
Itinerary
We'll meet at Haltia Nature Center, located on the outskirts of Helsinki and Espoo, to make our way towards Nuuksio National Park.
From there, our adventure begins as we set off on a trekking route through the stunning Nuuksio National Park. This 3.5-kilometer (2.1-mile) easy hike offers a chance to immerse ourselves in the serene beauty of Finnish forests.
Nestled within Espoo, Kirkkonummi, and Vihti municipalities, Nuuksio remains a largely untouched gem, owing to its challenging accessibility. Here, in this verdant oasis, we'll encounter pristine lakes, endangered flora, and fauna that call this green sanctuary home. Keep your eyes peeled, too, and see if you can catch a glimpse of the elusive flying squirrel, the star resident of the Baltic forests and a true highlight of Nuuksio.
Then, we'll take a leisurely stroll, soaking in the breathtaking landscape sculpted by lush vegetation. Following our route, we'll pause for a delightful break amidst nature, indulging in some typical Finnish snacks.
With newfound energy, we'll make our way back to the meeting point, bringing our 2-hour adventure filled with natural beauty to and end.
