Helsinki Card
What is the Helsinki Card?
The Helsinki Card is a tourist card which will allow you to enjoy the main tourist attractions in the city. When making your reservation you'll have the option to choose the Helsinki Card or the Helsinki Region Card, which as well as the Finnish capital, includes the regions of Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa.
What is included in each card?
The different types of Helsinki Card offer different advantages:
Helsinki Card
- Entry to the main museums in Helsinki like the Ateneum Art Museum (closed until 14 April 2023), Kiasma Contemporary Art, Temppeliaukio Church, Amos Rex, and the Museum of Design
- Helsinki sightseeing tour (from October to April) and cruise along the canals of Helsinki (from May to September)
- Unlimited use of public transport in Helsinki within zones AB (streetcars, buses, subway, suburban trains, Suomenlinna ferry and airport train)
- Digital Guide of Helsinki
- Discounts at shops and restaurants
Helsinki Region Card
This card includes all the above benefits, as well as:
- Public transport in Espoo, Kaunianen and Vantaa (zones ABC)
- Train transport to and from Helsinki Airport
How does it work?
The Helsinki Card begins its validity when it is used for the first time. From this moment onwards, you can use it for 24, 48, or 72 hours (depending on the option you choose). That is to say, if you choose the 48-hour card and begin to use it on Tuesday at 11 am, the card will remain valid until Thursday at 10:59 am.
The card allows one access to each tourist attraction in the city, except for transport. Children under 7 do not need to reserve.
Pickup
You can pick up your Helsinki Card at the following points:
- Hotel Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre, located at Elielinaukio 5, near the Helsinki City Center. It is open from Monday to Friday. Please keep in mind as of August 24, 2024, the hotel will be closed due to renovations.
- Stockmann Department Store Service Point, located at Aleksanterinkatu 52, 8th floor. Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm; Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 to 6 pm.
- Excess Baggage Airport Services, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, in the arrivals hall. Open Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 9 pm.
- Stromma Sales Kiosk, located in Market Square, at the departure point of Helsinki Sightseeing. Open daily from May 1 to September 30.
- Panorama Sightseeing, located at the Esplanade Park exit point on Fabianinkatu St. opens daily at 11 am and on Saturdays at 1:30 pm from October 1 to December 31. Please keep in mind as of August 24, 2024, the facility will be closed due to renovations.
