Helsinki Architecture Tour
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet at Aleksanterinkatu Street to start this exciting tour of architecture in Helsinki. It's time to uncover the secrets of the most important buildings in the Finnish Capital.
We'll start by exploring the city to discover how it has changed over time and how this has been reflected in the changes in its buildings. Along the way, we'll see a huge mixture of architectural styles, such as neoclassicism, Nordic classicism, modernism, and Art Deco, among many others.
The National Library of Finland and Helsinki Cathedral will be two of the first monuments we'll spot. As we admire their facades, we'll travel back in time to the 19th century to discover how these monuments were built.
Then, we'll visit the Pohjola building and access the Jugendsal Room, two perfect examples of the national Finnish romance architecture. We'll reveal all of its details! Additionally, we'll also see the Academic Library and the famous Eliel Saarinen train station.
After 3 hours, we'll end this tour outside the Central Library Oodi.
