Viñales Valley Private Tour by Classic Car

One of the most emblematic images of Cuba are the iconic classic cars that cruise the streets. These vintage 1950s vehicles seem to have made a deal with the devil, because their distinguished glamour has not faded over the years. What better way to explore the island? On the morning of your tour, one of these elegant cars will pick you up from your hotel in Havana and hit the road for the 2.5-hour drive to the stunning Viñales Valley.

Reaching Viñales National Park, you'll be captivated by the natural beauty of its verdant jungle-covered karst landscapes, dotted with "mogotes", or island-like limestone cliffs. Your first stop will be at a traditional tobacco plantation, where you'll learn how the world-renowned Cuban cigar is made. Delve deeper into the valley next: enjoy horse riding through Viñales (not included). The route, which lasts around an hour, ends with a tasting of Cuban coffee or a glass of Guayabita del Pinar rum – you choose which you prefer!

Hop back into your classic car and cruise over to the Mirador de los Jazmines, a viewpoint offering unparalleled panoramic views over the karst valley. Your attention will surely be drawn to the famous Mural of Prehistory, an enormous rock face painted with brightly-coloured scenes of the evolution of natural life in Cuba.

The next stop on your tour will be at a traditional local restaurant where you'll have the choice of a wide range of typical Cuban delicacies: ropa vieja, or braised beef; crab, lamb or shrimp. Each dish, served with salad and a drink, costs 15 (US$ 15.64).

After eating, you'll visit one of the most popular attractions in Viñales Valley: the Cueva del Indio (entrance not included). This karstic cave is considered to be one of the geological jewels of Cuba. Do you know which minerals you'll find inside the cavern?

At the end of a full day of exploring, you'll return to Havana, where you'll be dropped back off at your hotel at around 7 pm.
