Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Havana at the designated time to set off toward Las Terrazas, where a hidden town declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve awaits us. At this stop, we'll explore an idyllic spiritual retreat, where the Cuban musician Polo Montañés once lived.
Afterward, we'll continue our journey at the Cafetal Buenavista, where we'll share the art of Cuban coffee production and learn about the historical working conditions of enslaved Africans. During the entire journey, you'll admire the scenery of the Sierra del Rosario and its stunning views.
We'll then embark toward Viñales, where we'll make our first stop at the Los Jazmines Viewpoint. Here, you'll see the famous mogotes and marvel at the surrounding nature. Did you know that a notable accommodation, the Hotel Horizontes Los Jazmines, is found here?
Next, we'll continue our day trip to the iconic Mural of Prehistory, an artistic gem of Viñales Valley, standing at 393 feet (120 meters) tall. Time to take a picture! We'll also stop at a farmer's house close by to taste an authentic Cuban lunch.
After enjoying Criollan cuisine, we'll arrive at a tobacco plantation, where we'll learn first-hand how an artisanal cigar is made. Dare to try it?
Our last visit will be at the Cueva de San Miguel, where we'll uncover Viñales' best-kept secrets and reflect on the ancient traditions of the cimarrones.
After this 10-12-hour day trip, we'll conclude the activity at your hotel in Havana.
