Cuba 15-day Tour
Day 1: Havana
We'll pick you up from the Havana airport to take you to the accommodation where you'll spend the first night. You'll have this first day free to start getting acquainted with the Cuban capital.
Day 2: Havana - Cienfuegos
On the second day, we'll begin the itinerary of this 15-day tour of Cuba. We'll pick you up and head to Cienfuegos, enjoying the views of the Bay of Pigs on the way. We'll tell you about the historical events that took place in this enclave in the early 60s and, if time permits, we'll make a stop so you can take a swim in its beautiful beaches.
Once in Cienfuegos, a colonial city designed in the Parisian style, we'll leave you free time to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere and stroll along its elegant boulevards and squares.
Day 3: Cienfuegos - Santa Clara - Camagüey
After breakfast, we'll leave Cienfuegos behind and head to our next destination, but not before making a stop in the village of Santa Clara. Upon arrival, we'll see the statue of Ernesto Che Guevara and visit a museum dedicated to the life of the revolutionary leader.
Next, we'll travel to Camagüey, Cuba's third largest city. The city was founded in the 17th century and was designed to disorient pirates, which is why it's made up of narrow, intricate alleys where it's easy to get lost. This lively town has great cultural richness, so you'll fall in love walking through its parks and the university area.
Day 4: Camagüey - Holguín
The fourth day will start by visiting the ballet school of Camagüey to learn about the importance of this folkloric dance to the city.
We'll then move on to Holguín, one of the country's greatest tourist destinations. We'll take a walking tour of its main squares and monuments, stopping to admire its buildings that preserve the aesthetics of the 19th century. You'll have the rest of the day free to continue exploring the city and climb up to the Loma de la Cruz, from where you'll have spectacular views.
Days 5 & 6: Baracoa
After saying goodbye to Holguín, we'll head to Baracoa, where we'll spend the next two days of the tour. Did you know that Baracoa was the first city that the Spanish colonizers founded in Cuba?
This was the first place Christopher Columbus set foot when he arrived in Cuba, and the conquistador described its spectacular beauty in his diary. Baracoa is truly picture perfect, as it's located in a bay that has the Sierra del Purial in the background. In this charming enclave, you'll be able to do some hiking, relax on its beaches, and enjoy its gastronomy – be sure to try the fresh seafood and artisanal chocolate!
Days 7 & 8: Santiago de Cuba
On the 7th day, we'll say goodbye to Baracoa to travel to Santiago de Cuba. The views during the road trip will amaze you with its mountain landscapes that contrast with the coastline. We'll also pass by Guantanamo Bay, where the US military base is located.
Did you know that this city is known as the cradle of the Cuban Revolution? Santiago has great historical and cultural importance, especially its music culture.
During your stay in Santiago de Cuba, you'll be invited to a noche santiaguera (Santiago night) filled with music and dancing. You'll be able to join the locals on the dance floor and even play a musical instrument. You'll feel the authentic Cuban rhythm fill your bodies!
Day 9: Bayamo
After experiencing the most traditional Cuban customs, we'll continue our journey into the daily life of the island's villages by visiting Bayamo.
You'll notice the contrast between the bustle of the city and the tranquility of this small town, which flourished during the 17th and 18th centuries. If you wish, we'll take a hiking route through Sierra Maestra, where you can visit the hideout used by Fidel Castro.
Days 10, 11, & 12: Trinidad
Next, we'll go to Trinidad, declared a Creative City of Humanity by UNESCO for its handicrafts and popular arts. In the surroundings of Trinidad, we'll find the landscapes of Valle de los Ingenios and Playa Ancon, where you can enjoy its white sand and nature.
During these 3 days, you'll have the opportunity to have fun on your own with diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, and swimming in waterfalls. Trinidad is also known for its lively nightlife, with numerous live music and dance shows, so you'll always have something to do!
Days 13, 14, & 15: Havana
We'll then return to the capital, where we'll take advantage of the last 3 days of the trip to explore Havana in depth. We'll take a guided tour of the historic center of this World Heritage City, one of the oldest in the Americas.
During the tour, we'll visit the city's main points of interest, such as the Capitol, Central Park, or the Palace of the Revolution.
After thoroughly getting to know the capital, our 15-day tour of Cuba will come to an end. You'll be able to continue exploring Havana on your own or head to the airport to return home. If you fly on the last day of the tour, we recommend booking a flight that departs in the late afternoon or evening so that you can arrive on time.
