Cuban Cigar Workshop

Get ready to learn about one of Havana's most important traditions! We'll meet at Faco Rivera and make our way to the Cuban cigar workshop.

Upon arrival, we'll welcome you with a complimentary drink and start to reveal the origins of tobacco in this Caribbean country. Did you know that pre-colonial civilizations were already inhaling the smoke of these plants 500 years ago? We'll tell you how Christopher Columbus' expedition changed the world of cigarettes forever!

We'll explain the different types of cigars that exist so that you can learn to differentiate them correctly. Then it's time to start making our own cigars! The technique may be a bit complex, but you'll love every minute of the experience.

You'll also find out the best way to accompany a cigar when we serve you some Cuban rum and coffee. We'll learn the difference between the most typical local products and, as the cherry on top, you'll receive 2 Havana cigars as a gift!

Finally, we'll finish the activity after 2 hours of enjoyable learning.

What a fun and unique experience! We went to Cuba as a family of 4- mom, dad, 18 year old son and 16 year old daughter. We booked the Cigar workshop for the men and the cooking class for the ladies not knowing both were done at the same location. It was perfect! While the men were working on their cigars, trying local rum and learning how to play dominos, the ladies were learning how to make local cocktails (yummy!) and learning how to cook local cuisine (best meal we had the entire trip).

We had a great time attending this Cuban Cigar workshop! Edo the host is a fantastic guy - funny, informative and its been a great session to learn about cigar (how it is made - and hands on practice etc.) to how to smoke it with the right respect and etiquette. Highly recommend and thank you very much Edo for a great evening!

Wow, what can I say about Edo? Edo is my spirit animal. Edo is everything I hoped I would love about visiting Havana. Edo picked us up at our Airbnb and drove us back to the bar Happy Havana. Edo served us a drink - the best one I had during my entire trip to Cuba. We learned about growing, cultivating, and rolling cigars, and then got around to the best part - smoking one. As we smoked, we learned about each other's lives, and I made a great new friend. It was the highlight of our trip.

This event was excellent in every way. Edo picked us up at our apartment and drove us to The Happy Bar where we were given a mixed drink to enjoy while we went upstairs to learn about the history of tobacco and cigar making in Cuba. We were then instructed in how to properly roll a cigar, how to tell the difference between a real and fake Cuban cigar, and properly lighting and smoking a good Cuban cigar. This activity was excellent in every way, and Edo was the perfect leader. Highly recommend!
