Day 1: Hanoi - Sapa - Cat Cat Village
Our journey begins with a 6:30 am pickup, kicking off an exciting two-day expedition to Sapa.
As we venture along the scenic Highway to Lao Cai City, a 6-hour bus ride, you'll have the chance to soak in the breathtaking Vietnamese countryside right from your seat. Sapa, a town steeped in the rich traditions of the Hmong, Dzao, and Tay people, awaits our arrival.
Upon reaching Sapa, we'll greet you with a refreshing beverage and provide a detailed itinerary overview. We'll indulge in a delightful lunch featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes after check-in at our hotel.
Post-lunch, we embark on a brief 2.5 km (1.5 miles) hike to Cat Cat village, home to the Black Hmong community. This picturesque village is nestled at the base of Fansipan Peak, and our local guide will unveil the daily activities of the locals. Our trek leads us to a mesmerizing waterfall, complete with a historical Hydraulic Power Station built by the French. You'll have ample time to capture breathtaking photos with the waterfall and a rustic bridge as your backdrop. We'll conclude the day by ascending the hill, returning to Sapa just in time for a splendid sunset.
Back at Sapa, we'll enjoy dinner at the hotel to wrap up the evening.
Day 2: Sapa - Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Hanoi
Our day starts with a hearty breakfast at the hotel to fuel us for the day ahead. Afterward, we'll embark on a short car ride to Linh Ho. From there, we'll embark on our 9 km (5.5 mi) trek through mesmerizing rice terraces along the Muong Hoa Stream, ultimately arriving at the captivating Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Here, you'll be treated to awe-inspiring Hoang Lien Son Mountain views.
Next, we'll venture to Ta Van village, inhabited by the Dzay people, to gain insight into their unique culture and daily lives. After approximately 3.5 hours of hiking, we'll reconvene at the Ta Van bridge, where a bus will be waiting to transport us back to Sapa. You'll have leisure time for lunch and to prepare your belongings before reuniting with the group at the hotel, ready for our return journey to Hanoi.
Finally, we'll board the bus for our voyage back to Hanoi, bidding farewell after two days of unforgettable adventure and exploration.
