Discover the natural beauty around the Vietnamese province with this Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi. You'll travel to the ancient capital Hoa Lu, Mua Cave and visit Van Long Nature Reserve.

Ninh Binh Day Trip

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7 am to take you to Ninh Binh Province, which is about two hours away by bus.

Our first stop will be in Hoa Lu, the former capital of the Vietnamese Empire, to visit the temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasties. The entrance to the imperial city has been completely restored, due to nature eroding the stone. It will leave you speechless!

Next, we'll take you to the Dancing Cave, known to tourists as "the princess of Ninh Binh". We'll climb almost 500 steps to find this amazing spot located in a plain surrounded by hills and mountains, Mua Cave is one of the most spectacular places to enjoy the tranquillity and panoramic views over Tam Coc.

Afterwards, we'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where we'll enjoy tasting some of the most traditional dishes from the area.

After lunch, we'll get on a bicycle to go to the Bich Dong Pagoda, three small temples perfectly integrated with nature and the mountains of Tam Coc. Time to pedal!

To finish our tour, we'll board a boat to tour the Van Long Nature Reserve. Here we'll admire some of the last specimens of Delacour's Langur, some primates in danger of extinction.

We'll arrive back in Hanoi around 6:30 pm.

La reserva natural es preciosa pero no pudimos ver ningún mono por el calor que era muy intenso, aún así muy bonito el paisaje. Hoa Lu está también bien pero lo mejor son las vistas desde Mua Cave (aunque los 500 escalones se hacen largos con el calor), pero merece la pena. La pagoda de Bich Dong también es preciosa. The nature reserve is beautiful but we couldn't see any monkeys because of the heat, which was very intense, but the landscape was still very beautiful. Hoa Lu is also good but the best are the views from Mua Cave (although the 500 steps are long in the heat), but it is worth it. The Bich Dong Pagoda is also beautiful.
