Free Walking Tour of Hanoi
Hanoi Free Walking Tour Itinerary
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Republik Backpackers’ Hostel to begin our free guided tour of Hanoi. From there, we'll walk towards one of the most iconic places in the city: the legendary Hoan Kiem Lake. The curious history behind its name and the incredible folkloric legend it hides will surprise you!
We'll continue our tour heading towards the famous Huc Bridge, also known as the Red Bridge. As we walk along this famous walkway, we'll enjoy excellent views of the entire lake and the Turtle Temple.
Next, we'll head to the Temple of the Jade Mountain, one of the most iconic in Hanoi. Afterwards, we'll make a brief stop at the Memorial Monument before immersing ourselves in the local culture with a visit to one of the most traditional cafeterias in the city. Here, you can try the famous egg coffee, a Vietnamese delicacy—its flavour will surprise you!
Feeling refuelled, we'll head into Hanoi's Old Town, a labyrinth of streets full of history, shops and a never-ending coming and going of motorbikes. We'll discover what daily life is like in this bustling district and understand why it's considered the commercial and cultural heart of the city.
To conclude our walking tour, we'll head to the famous Hanoi Railway Street, a narrow alley where Vietnam's long-distance train passes just inches away from the buildings and cafés. A unique spectacle that will not leave you indifferent.
Finally, after 3.5 hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude this free tour of Hanoi by returning to the meeting point.
