Learn how to make Vietnam's most traditional beverages, you can't miss this egg coffee workshop in Hanoi - you'll love it!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 53 P. Lương Ngọc Quyến to embark on a unique experience in the heart of Vietnam's capital: we're diving into an egg coffee workshop in Hanoi!
Once we've introduced ourselves, we'll kick off the class with a discussion about this Vietnamese beverage, created by Nguyen Van Giang in 1946, during the Indochina War. At that time, dairy products were scarce, and as such, a beaten egg was used as a creamer for coffee. The result? A magical creation that continues to captivate locals and tourists alike!
Once we have our ingredients ready, we'll prepare the egg coffee according to a step-by-step recipe which we'll provide. Finally, the highlight of the class: it's time to taste your creation! Along with your egg coffee, you can also enjoy some tea and cakes on the side!
We'll conclude our coffee class between 1 and 1.5 hours after starting the activity.
But that's not all! During the booking process, you can complete your egg coffee class in Hanoi with more experience. Here's what you'll do in each of them:
Cyclo tour (2 hours)
If you choose this option, after the coffee workshop, we'll embark on a 30-minute ride around Hoan Kiem Lake in a traditional Vietnamese cyclo. Explore the historic centre of Hanoi and immerse ourselves in the city's most authentic atmosphere in style. Let's roll!
Aquatic puppet show (2.5 hours)
Would you like to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese show? This is the ideal choice! After the egg coffee workshop, we'll watch a water puppet show, one of the most popular attractions in Hanoi.
The tradition of water puppet theatre dates back to the 11th century, to a time when the rice paddies were flooded. On these occasions, villagers would perform these entertaining plays with the water covering them up to their waists and sliding the puppets across the surface. For about an hour, we'll enjoy legends and folktales.
Street Food Tour (3.5 hours)
If you're a foodie, you definitely can't miss trying Vietnamese street food. Once we finish the egg coffee class, we'll take a tour through the historic centre of Hanoi in search of the most delicious recipes.
We'll stop at a restaurant to try Bánh cuốn, delicious stuffed rice noodles while watching the chefs prepare them. Afterwards, we'll savour pho, the most famous Vietnamese soup. How do you prefer it: with beef or chicken? We'll also taste other culinary specialities like crab rolls, fried rice balls, buns, and stir-fried vegetables with a special sauce. Irresistible!
