Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Quy Mon Quan - Mother's Temple

On the first day, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. There, we'll board a comfortable air-conditioned minibus and head to Lang Son. We'll then drive to the border with China.

On the way, we'll stop at the spectacular Chi Lang Pass gorge to admire the views. There you'll have an hour of free time to walk and explore the area around the Quy Mon Quan gate, whose name means The Gate of Monsters - we'll tell you why it's known by this name!

After lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Dang, we'll continue the day by visiting Mother's Temple and Dong Khe, where The Battle of Dong Khe took place during the First Indochina War in 1950.

Finally, we'll spend the night in a Nung family's house.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave – Ba Be National Park

Rise and shine! After breakfast, our first stop of the day will be at the Ban Gioc waterfalls, a succession of impressive waterfalls that stretch for more than 300 metres (980 feet). Don't forget to bring your camera!

We'll continue the second day travelling by road to the magical Nguom Ngao Cave, a natural wonder that stretches out for more than 2000 metres (6,560 feet)deep underground. Do you dare to explore it?

Finally, we'll arrive at Ba Be National Park, where we'll be welcomed home by a local family. There you can have a delicious lunch, enjoy the afternoon free to relax and rest until the next day.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, we'll board a boat to cross Ba Be Lake passing by Widow Island. Once on land, we'll start a walk to An Ma Temple, you'll then be able to choose to take a pleasant walk around Ba Be Lake or take a dip in its waters.

Afterwards, we'll transfer to Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant for lunch before ending the tour. On the way back to Hanoi, we'll stop at a tea plantation located between hills - an ideal setting!

Finally, we'll arrive in Hanoi, where we'll arrive in the late afternoon.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full board accommodation with local families in the Ba Be National Park and the Nung hamlet.

The tour includes pickup from hotels located in the Old Quartier of Hanoi. If you're staying elsewhere, you'll have to come to the following meeting point at the indicated time: Hanoi Opera House.
