Meet the rest of the group outside the Elbphilharmonie and embark on a one-hour guided tour of this striking landmark. Accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide, you’ll discover the secrets of this edifice and its square, re-inaugurated in 2017. The concert hall now stands where one of the old warehouses of the traditional Ship Harbor of Hamburg once was. Up until 1900, it was used to store tobacco, tea and cocoa beans. The façade of the building is truly impressive, especially its wave-like elements and glass top. Once inside, you’ll step inside its fascinating central square, which is accessible by taking the largest escalator in Europe.
