Hamburg Bike Tour
Hamburg Bike Tour
We'll meet at 15 b Hopfenstraße in Hamburg at 2:30 pm. From there we'll set off on a very interesting 13-kilometre bike tour.
We'll cycle through the district of St. Pauli, known for the red light district Reeperbahn and its cultural footprint. Then we'll cycle to the landing bridges to enjoy the panoramic views of the harbour and the canals of the river Elbe.
Then we'll arrive at St. Michael's Church, one of the most important Lutheran basilicas in the city, crowned by a baroque copper tower. Did you know that the composer Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is buried in this church?
We'll cycle around part of the artificial Alster Lake to Hamburg's town hall, a neo-Renaissance building with a large-scale appearance. The tour will continue by cycling along the Jungfernstieg promenade, the Speicherstadt warehouse district and the HafenCity, a very ambitious urban development project.
The tour will end at the meeting point between 5:30 and 6 pm.
