Meandro del Melero Boat Trip
Meandro del Melero Boat Trip
At the agreed time, we'll meet at the Centro Internacional de Innovación Deportiva-El Anillo, just 8 kilometres from the centre of Guijo de Granadilla. Here, the boat will await us in order to take us on a peaceful journey down the river Alagón.
We'll start sailing north through the Gabriel y Galán reservoir. We'll cross the waters of the river Alagón watching the different species of birds that fly over the area. With a bit of luck, we'll be able to see black storks, griffon vultures or short-toed eagles, among other species. During the trip, you'll also be able to enjoy a refreshment on board.
From the boat, we'll be able to see the medieval village of Granadilla with its emblematic castle, the beautiful valleys of Las Hurdes and we'll also head to the Natural Park of Las Batuecas and Sierra de Francia, belonging to the province of Salamanca.
After an hour of sailing, we'll arrive at the meander of the Melero. We'll get to admire its incredible views and capture the amazing moments on camera.
After three and a half hours, we'll finish the boat trip at the starting point.
Meandro del Melero
We will not be able to access the Meandro del Melero due to the current low water level of the reservoir. The boat ride will be to its vicinity, but without entering.
