Guayaquil Municipal Museum
After picking you up from your hotel in Guayaquil at the chosen time, we'll head to the historical centre of the city to enjoy a guided tour of the Municipal Museum.
In the Pre-Hispanic Room we'll marvel at a multitude of archaeological pieces that will give us a fascinating insight into the history of this area of Latin America in the pre-Columbian period. Then we'll follow the course of history into the Colonial Room. Its exhibition contains a range of objects related to the Spanish conquerors who landed on American soil in the fifteenth century. From then on, the history of the New World undergoes great transformations that we'll find out all about during the visit.
On the tour of Guayaquil's Municipal Museum we'll also explore other captivating areas such as the Religious Art Room and the Numismatic Room. We'll also stop at the exhibition on yellow fever in Guayaquil which recreates the terrible consequences of this disease. Lastly, we'll admire fossils of different insects, birds and mammals in the Natural History Pavilion of Ecuador.
Following 1.5 hours of the guided tour of the museum we'll head back to the minibus and take you back to your hotel.
