Guatemala City Private Tour
After picking you up at your hotel at the time of your choice, we'll set off for the Church of the Archdiocese of Santiago de Guatemala, the cathedral of the Guatemalan capital. This 18th-century neoclassical temple has undergone several restorations due to the earthquakes of 1917, 1918 and 1976. Inside we'll see the traces of these earthquakes and also admire a historic pipe organ.
Then we'll go to the imposing National Palace, a beautiful building that mixes Neo-Plateresque, Spanish Baroque and Renaissance styles. Then we'll arrive at the Civic Centre, to talk about the title awarded to Guatemala City in 2015: 'Ibero-American Capital of Culture'.
The private walking tour will continue to the Plaza de la Constitución, where the kilometre zero is located and where the parades of the Independence of Guatemala are held.
Then, we'll get on the minibus to reach the Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Costume, a place dedicated to the country's traditions, typical costumes, ceramics, jewellery and books.
Finally, after 4 hours of sightseeing, the tour will end at your hotel.
