Tour Details
At the indicated time, you'll be picked up from your hotel for an unforgettable private tour of Guatemala City. Ready to discover one of the most important destinations in Central America?
First of all, we'll go to the Plaza de la Constitución, where we'll see the façade of the Guatemala City Cathedral. This 18th century neoclassical temple has undergone several restorations due to the earthquakes of 1917, 1918 and 1976. Inside, we'll see the traces of these earthquakes and admire a historic pipe organ.
We'll continue our tour of the Guatemalan capital next to the National Palace, a building that mixes styles such as Neo-Plateresque, Spanish Baroque and Renaissance. Next, we'll go to the Civic Centre, which hosted numerous events in 2015, when Guatemala City was named Ibero-American Capital of Culture.
Lastly, we'll go to the Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Textiles and Clothing, where we'll see a large collection of typical costumes, ceramics, jewellery and books. Do you know what a huipil is? We'll find out during the visit to this exhibition.
Finally, after 4 hours of sightseeing, we'll return to your hotel.
