When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the following private day trips from Guatemala City. They all include hotel pickup, transportation and an English-speaking guide:

Antigua Guatemala Day Trip (8 hours)

From your hotel in Guatemala City we'll begin by heading to the Indigenous community of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, which is famous for its beautifully manufactured textiles.

We'll then drive to the picturesque historic centre of Antigua Guatemala - did you know that it was the country's first capital? You'll have an hour of free time here for lunch at the Porta Hotel Antigua.

Once you've had something to eat, we'll go on a guided tour of Antigua Guatemala. On our tour, we'll stop at iconic places in the city such as the Cathedral of San José, the Town Hall and the Palace of the Captains General. We'll also visit a jade factory to see how their jewellery is made.

After exploring Antigua Guatemala, we'll take you back to your hotel in Guatemala City.

Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. 

Chichicastenango and Lake Atitlán Day Trip (12 hours)

After picking you up from your hotel in Guatemala City, we'll set off for Lake Atitlán, where we'll learn about the history of the 12 Indigenous villages that surround this inland lake.

We'll then drive to the town of Chichicastenango. When we get there, you'll have 1 hour of free time to get lunch at the Hotel Museo Mayan Inn. Once we've reconvened, we'll visit the most picturesque open-air market in Guatemala. In addition, we'll also head to Santo Tomás Church to discover the importance of this religious building.

From Chichicastenango, we'll return to your hotel in Guatemala City.
