Chichicastenango Market & Lake Atitlan Tour
Tour Highlights
At the designated time, our team will pick you up from your hotel in Guatemala City and we'll embark on a journey to the panoramic Lake Atitlan lookout.
From this elevated vantage point, we'll witness the majestic scenery of one of the world's most beautiful lakes. The landscape is surrounded by three breathtaking volcanoes – Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro – creating a captivating backdrop for photos.
Our next destination is Chichicastenango, where we'll pause at the Hotel Museo Maya Inn for a delicious traditional lunch featuring diverse local specialties. Post-lunch, we'll proceed to the Chichicastenango Market, delving into the commercial life of the Maxeños, the indigenous inhabitants of Chichicastenango. Roam through this vibrant market, offering everything from fresh produce brought in by local merchants to handicrafts and indigenous products.
An exploration of the colonial-style church of Santo Tomas follows, showcasing a fusion of Maya and Latin influences in its architecture, both inside and out.
Concluding our excursion, we'll return you to your Guatemala City hotel, with an estimated arrival 10 hours after the initial pickup.
