Bariay National Monument Tour (8 hours)
The Bariay National Monument Park is dedicated to the arrival of Christopher Columbus in Cuba, as it was the first place the navigators of La Pinta, La Niña, and La Santa María landed. In Bariay Park, we'll see sculptures created by the indigenous people of Cuba and ruins of neoclassical arches, which together symbolize the union of the native Cubans and the Europeans. A few meters away, there is also a reproduction of homes inhabited by indigenous people in the 15th century.
Afterwards, we'll go to a local house to enjoy some Cuban coffee and delicious coconut water. We'll then set off a 45-minute tour on horseback, in a carriage, or on foot around the mangroves, coconut groves, and Bariay Bay. At the end, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea. This tour will follow a similar route to the group Bariay National Monument Tour from Guardalavaca.
Holguin Tour (6 hours)
We'll kick off our journey at the spectacular Mirador de Mayabe viewpoint, where we'll get stunning views of the Cuban countryside from above. On our Holguin Tour, you'll learn all about the history of Cuba thanks to the reliefs of the Origins mural. Afterwards, we'll visit the Cathedral of San Isidoro, a building from the colonial period, and the famous market square.
We'll continue our tour to Plaza Calixto García Íñiguez, a square where we'll talk all about the Cuban Independence movement and visit the La Periquera Museum. In this museum, we'll discover some of the most significant events in Cuban history and discover who the Mambises were. Then, we'll pass by the San José church, the oldest in the city, to marvel at its unique construction.
Finally, we'll climb up to the Loma de la Cruz, a viewpoint offering exceptional views of Holguin. The itinerary will be similar to that of our group Holguin Day Trip.
