Mezcala Island Trip
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Guadalajara and begin our journey towards Mezcala Island.
Once there, we'll hop onto a speed boat that will take us to Mezcala Island, a historic location that was made famous during the War of Independence. We'll learn all about what happened there, and how the island played host to one of the longest resistance battles in Mexican history. This battle lasted from 1812 to 1816! Afterwards, the island was inhabited between 1826 and 1855, however, little by little, the people began to leave.
On our tour of the island of Mezcala, we'll discover abandoned buildings and some ruins, and go back in time to learn about the history of this location.
After this interesting island tour, we'll head to the town of Chapala, where you'll have some free time to grab something to eat. Fill your bellies!
Finally, we'll bring this tour to an end back at the hotels after 7 hours together.
