Horseback Riding in Tequila & Distillery Visit with Tasting
Horse Riding in Tequila & Distillery Visit with Tasting
Between 8:30 and 8:45 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and take you to the town of Amatitán through its extensive agave fields. Did you know that this plant is used as a component for sweeteners or spirits such as tequila or mezcal?
In Amatitán, we'll have our first tequila tasting on a terrace overlooking the agave plantations. In the meantime, the guide will explain the best way to drink tequila. Did you think you already knew how? You'd be surprised!
After the tasting, we'll have the horses ready to start riding. We'll admire the landscapes of agave canyons and part of the Poblado, and then we'll head off toward Tequila. We'll also make a stop at La Cofradía distillery, where we'll learn about the tequila-making process and have a second tequila, agave liqueur, and jima tasting.
Once we arrive in Tequila, we'll take a tour of the center of one of Mexico's Magical Towns. Finally, we'll leave you time to visit the town on your own, have lunch, or do some shopping.
Finally, we'll meet again to return on horseback to the starting point and then by bus to Guadalajara. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled five to six hours after pickup.
Pickup
Pickup is included for hotels located in downtown Guadalajara, Zona Minerva or Zona Expo. If you're staying in other areas, we'll contact you to arrange a meeting point.
