Guachimontones + Tequila Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and head to Guachimontones, where we'll arrive after a pleasant 1.5-hour drive.
As we arrive, we'll enter the mysterious world of the Guachimontones. This archaeological site will take you back to pre-Columbian times in Mexico. We'll admire the ancient circular pyramids as we share stories and legends surrounding this enigmatic site. We'll also get to see the ball games, terraces, and buildings that make up the complex.
Next up, we'll head to the picturesque town of Tequila, famous around the world for its delicious liquor. Here, we can immerse ourselves in the tequila culture as we visit a local distillery. Along the way, we'll learn about the tequila-making process, from the planting of the agave to the final distillation, while you indulge in exclusive tastings. Cheers!
In Tequila, you'll have 2 hours of free time for lunch and to explore the colorful handicraft stores. With newfound energy, we'll continue our adventure with a stroll through the picturesque streets of the town, full of colonial charm.
Then, we'll return to Guadalajara to drop you off at your hotel, 8 hours later.
