Caribbean Botanical Garden Ticket
The Caribbean Botanical Garden of Guácimo, located in the province of Limón, is one of the best places in Costa Rica to discover the native plants of Central America.
Throughout the garden, which is almost two hectares in size, you'll get to see an enormous collection of more than 300 Costa Rican and foreign orchids. As you stroll through the botanical garden, you'll smell the soft fragrance of these plants, which brighten up the entire grounds with striking shades of mauve, blue and reddish tones.
In addition to orchids, Guácimo Caribbean Botanical Garden has more than 5,000 plants across 30 different species. Among them, the exuberant tree ferns are sure to catch your attention.
During your tour of the botanical garden, you'll also find a great diversity of birds such as toucans, parakeets, parrots, macaws and tanagers. It's also worth visiting the park's two main water sources. The most outstanding is the Leona Creek: a small tributary that forms part of the Parismina River basin, whose waters feed the canals of Tortuguero National Park.
With your ticket to the garden, you'll also get a drink, which you can enjoy at the end of the tour.
