Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time, at Paseo del Generalife 1F, 18009, to set off on an exciting night tour of the Alhambra, one of the best-preserved treasures of the Islamic world.
Our journey begins at the Palace of Charles V, built by order of the emperor, to commemorate his unforgettable honeymoon with Isabella of Portugal in 1526. Entering through the Puerta del Vino and Puerta de la Justicia, we’ll uncover the fascinating blend of Islamic and Renaissance styles. The Patio de Pedro Machuca stands out with its unique circular layout tucked inside a square building.
Next, we'll visit the Nasrid Palaces: the Mexuar Courtyard and the Court of Lions. Inside these architectural gems we'll observe the detailed Andalusian decoration of the vaults, stuccoes and coffered ceilings, which are beautifully adorned.
As we step into the Court of Lions, you're sure to be captivated by how it glimmers and shines at night. We'll contemplate the ornate fountain, creating beautiful arches of water, as we move on to see the Palace of the Abencerrajes. Here, we'll pause to contemplate the brilliant lights as they shimmer in the reflection pool below. Be sure to bring your camera!
Then, marveled by the opulence and beauty of the Alhambra at night, we'll bring the experience to an end 1.5 hours later, near the meeting point.
