At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Gramado and embark on a wine tour through the Serra Gaúcha, Brazil's wine tourism destination!
During the tour, we'll visit different wineries, spending an hour in each one. We'll learn how the wave of Italian immigration took advantage of the fertile soil of this region, creating a reputation for the region, as a producer of quality wines, especially sparkling wines.
First, we'll head to the municipality of Bento Gonçalves, where we'll visit the renowned Aurora winery, one of the largest cooperatives in Brazil. There we'll be welcomed by the winery staff, who will accompany us to the tasting room for a delicious tasting of sparkling wine.
Afterward, we'll head to the Garibaldi winery, known for its award-winning blends. During the guided tour with Garibaldi's workers, we'll learn all about how the Serra Gaúcha region produces more than 80% of the national wine in Brazil! What's more, here, we'll enjoy a tasting of five cold and sparkling wines.
After this tasting, we'll drop you off at the Fenachamp restaurant, where you can enjoy a lunch that includes a dish of traditional Brazilian gastronomy. After lunch, we'll visit the Fetina de Formaio cheese factory, to see how they handcraft gourmet cheeses and, of course, sample some of these tasty varieties.
On the way back, we'll pass by the Praça das Flores and the charming Green Labyrinth of Nova Petrópolis. Finally, we'll bring the experience to an end, back at your hotel, 12 hours later.
