Turquoise seas, paradise beaches and mysterious shipwrecks: discover all that Moreton Island has to offer on this fun-filled day trip from the Gold Coast.
Moreton Island Day Trip
After getting up bright and early on the day of your tour, you'll meet at the Mantra on View Hotel ready to board the bus that will take you up the coast for the hour's drive up to the Port of Brisbane.
Arriving at the port, your ferry will be waiting for you, ready to set sail for the 75-minute boat trip to Moreton Island. As you cruise away from the city skyline, you'll be captivated by the tranquil beauty of Moreton Bay and the Coral Sea, whose mesmerising azure waters stretch as far as the eye can see.
Climbing onto dry land, it'll be time for a fun-filled day enjoying all that Moreton Island has to offer. The third largest sand island in the world, Moreton is known for its paradise beaches, ideal for relaxing under the Australian sun. But it's so much more than just that! This day trip will give you the opportunity to try different activities to make the most of the natural beauty of the island.
Swim with the marine life in the seas around Moreton Island on a snorkelling tour and discover the mysteries of the famous Tangalooma shipwrecks from a transparent kayak. You'll also get to explore the island itself: take advantage of the sand toboggans to surf down the dunes at adrenaline-inducing speeds and bounce over the golden beaches in a specially adapted 4x4. What more could you ask for?
What's more, you'll be treated to a picnic lunch of different ingredients so you can make your own sandwiches.
Having enjoyed all of these unforgettable activities, you'll return to the ferry for the journey back to Brisbane. From there, you'll be taken back to the original departure point in Gold Coast 13 hours later.
