Explore the archeological site of Ephesus on this tour from Gocek. Travel back in time and admire majestic sites such as the Hadrian Temple, the Roman theater, or the Library of Celsus.
Ephesus Tour
Between 6.30 and 7.10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off to Ephesus. After a three-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll reach this ancient Greco-Roman city, one of the best-preserved in Turkey. These remains have survived the test of time and now await your arrival!
We'll start the guided tour of Ephesus and discover the must-see sites: the Temple of Hadrian and the Library of Celsus. This library was one of the most luxurious and comprehensive archives that the Roman Empire had on this side of the Mediterranean Sea.
But for sure the highlight will be the Roman Theater. Its imposing dimensions never fail to surprise visitors, as it has the capacity for 25,000 people. Can you picture how it must have been back in its golden age?
After exploring the entirety of Ephesus, we'll head to a local restaurant to regain our strength with a delicious Turkish lunch. After the meal, we'll visit the impressive Isa Bey Mosque, built during the time of the Anatolian beyliks.
Our last stop on this tour will be the House of Virgin Mary. There we'll learn the story of the mother of Christ, who as tradition goes was accompanied here by St. John after the crucifixion of Jesus.
We'll head back and drop you off at your hotel between 6.30 pm and 7.10 pm.
