Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids of Giza Tour
Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids of Giza
We'll start the day by picking you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at the designated time. Ready to explore some of the most fascinating remains of the ancient Egyptian civilization? Let's go!
Our first stop will be in Giza, where you'll admire the majestic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure which have made the list of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You'll see the stunning Great Sphinx of Giza up close, an ancient guardian of the funerary complex. You'll learn many interesting facts on this tour!
At lunchtime, we'll take a break to enjoy a delicious buffet with traditional food in a local restaurant, where you'll try a variety of authentic dishes from Egyptian cuisine.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest space dedicated to the civilization of Ancient Egypt. In front of the building's entrance, you'll see the first suspended obelisk in the world.
Afterward, we'll access the Grand Hall, where you'll find a 39-foot (12-meter) statue of Ramesses II, and you'll climb up the monumental staircase, guarded by over 60 unique archeological pieces. Plus, we'll see some of the exhibitions that tell the history of Pharaonic Egypt from its origin to the Roman era.
After a total of 6 hours, we'll return to your hotel to conclude this tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza.
