Description
We'll meet up on Bohemia Street at the selected time and set off on a 1 hour and a half journey to the Somiedo Natural Park. Get ready to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in Spain! You'll enjoy a personalized experience in a smaller group, limited to a maximum of 8 people. Our compact-size vehicles allow us to explore inaccessible locations, such as the Aguino or Perlunes viewpoints, for larger excursions and venture beyond the main tourist areas.
We'll then arrive in Perlunes, a town located in the heart of the Somiedo Natural Park, one of the most important and best-preserved protected areas in Asturias.
The tour will continue to Pola de Somiedo, a village featured in the book Viaje por España en la época de Carlos III (Journey through Spain in the times of Charles III), by the English scholar Joseph Townsend. We'll also visit this picturesque municipality's Somiedo Natural Park Interpretation Centre.
The journey will then take us across the Asturian countryside until we reach the Farrapona peak, where we'll go on a hike to discover the park's plants and wildlife. Moreover, throughout the whole route, the guide will tell us about Somiedo.
After a pleasant hike through the park, we'll arrive at Cueva Lake, a breathtaking sight you'll never forget! Later, we'll visit the Ecomuseum of Somiedo, which is the perfect place to learn about this area's life and rural essence.
At the end of the trip, we'll return to Gijón, arriving 10-11 hours after the starting time.
