Georgetown Bus Tour
Georgetown Bus Tour
At the established time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Georgetown and hit the road for this panoramic tour of the charming capital of Guyana. Are you ready to travel back in time and admire the city's historic colonial-style architecture?
First, we'll head to the vibrant and bustling Stabroek Market, one of the oldest in the city and built entirely of iron, a perfect place to start getting to know the true essence of the so-called "Garden City". We'll immerse ourselves in the traditions of the local population by strolling among the seemingly infinite stalls of this huge market.
From here, we'll continue through the streets of Georgetown and approach St. George's Anglican Cathedral. Did you know that it's one of the tallest wooden churches in the world? After this, we'll visit different colonial-style buildings such as the National Museum, the Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology, and the City Hall.
Then, we'll head over to the famous Georgetown Seawall. What makes it so special? This huge slab of concrete was built along Georgetown Beach by Dutch settlers in 1880 to protect the city. Today, however, it has become one of the city's most charming and picturesque spots, ideal for locals and tourists alike to enjoy relaxing walks along the Atlantic Ocean.
To complete our tour of Georgetown, we'll visit another of the city's most popular markets, Bourda Market, where we'll refresh and recharge with a delicious drink of fresh coconut water.
Finally, we'll drive you back to your hotel after four hours of exploring Georgetown.
