Grand Cayman Tour
Grand Cayman Tour
At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in George Town to start a fun-filled day touring the Grand Cayman, the largest island in the archipelago.
The first stop of the day will be at Seven Mile Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, before heading to the Cayman Turtle Center, a sea turtle conservation centre. This centre is home to a multitude of these reptiles, from tiny turtles to huge creatures weighing more than 200 kilos. During the visit, we'll learn all about these animals and how their ecosystem is preserved.
Then we'll head to the Hell rocks, followed by the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, where you can buy a rum cake, a delicious typical dessert.
The tour will then cross George Town again on the way to the other side of the island and pass through the residential area of South Sound until we reach Pedro St. James, the manor house of the owners of an old plantation. Here, we'll be shown a presentation explaining the history of Peter's Castle and Grand Cayman.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Elizabeth II Botanical Garden, a peaceful environment filled with plants of all colours inhabited by fascinating creatures. Have you ever seen a blue iguana? Be on the lookout during the visit, you might spot one!
Next, we'll go to see the blowholes of the Grand Cayman. If we're lucky, and the sea allows it, we'll get the chance to see and hear them in action.
Before returning to George Town, you'll have free time to eat at a local restaurant, a great chance to try some typical food from the Cayman Islands. With our stomachs full we'll take you back to your hotel or the cruise port at 1:30 pm so you can enjoy the rest of your afternoon.
