At the scheduled time, we'll begin this free tour of Genoa from Piazza San Lorenzo in front of the cathedral steps.
After admiring the mix between the Romanesque and Gothic architecture on the outside of the church, we'll walk to the Ducal Palace of Genoa. Do you know which illustrious personalities lived there? After learning about the history of this stunning location, we'll make our way to the nearby Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari.
From here, we'll continue the tour towards the facade of the Carlo Felice Theatre, the grand Genoa Opera. We'll discover which famous plays have been performed here and then take a stroll along Via Garibaldi to see its main palaces from the outside. Among them, the Palazzo Rosso is particularly impressive.
However, Genoa is not only dominated by civil buildings but also large, important religious buildings. We'll discover just this by making our way to see the Basilica of San Siro and the churches of San Luca and San Pietro Banchi.
Finally, we'll pass by some of the most iconic spots along the Via Degli Orefici and the Piazza Campetto. Then, after 2 hours together, we'll bring this tour to an end by returning to the meeting point.
