Chamonix is one of the world’s most famous locations for mountain sports. Discover this Alpine town on this tour and enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Blanc.
Chamonix Tour
After meeting up at the central bus station (Gare Routiere) in Geneva, we'll head to Chamonix. After an hour and a half’s drive, we'll reach the French mountain town that, for more than 100 years, has been one of the most important mountaineering and winter sports centers in the world.
Shortly after our arrival, you'll have 2 hours of free time to get to know Chamonix at your own pace. At noon, we'll meet back with the guide for a guided tour of 40 minutes.
On our walking tour through Chamonix, we'll discover the town’s main attractions, such as Saint Michel’s Church and the statue of Jacques Balmat, the first mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Blanc. During the tour, we'll hear all about the history of Chamonix and its evolution since becoming a key Alpine tourist location in the 19th Century.
When we finish the tour, you'll have free time to enjoy Chamonix at your leisure. You can explore the quaint streets of wooden houses, discover the delicious alpine gastronomy, and lose yourself among the many shops at this world-famous ski resort.
We return to Geneva around 6:15 pm.
