Sunset Cruise
Sunset Cruise
At the scheduled time, you'll head to Galar harbor to board a galley boat for an exciting ride around Gdansk in the evening light.
We'll start with a tour of the Gdansk shipyard to see how the shadows of the imposing cranes and merchant ships are reflected in the Vistula River. Afterward, we'll approach the old town through the canals until we reach the ruins of an ancient Teutonic castle. Did you know that it was commissioned in the 14th century by the great master Dietrich von Altenburg?
With the last rays of sunlight, we'll pass Gdansk's most famous water gates, such as St. Mary's or the medieval crane. The latter is considered to be the largest lifting machine in the whole of Europe in the Middle Ages.
Next, we'll sail through the Olowianka and Granary islands to see the barns erected on the banks of the Motlava River, which were of great importance in the 15th century for the growth of the city's port.
After an hour and 40 minutes of sightseeing, we'll take you back to the starting point to finish the boat trip.
What is the boat like?
The boats for the Gdansk sightseeing tour are inspired by the old galleys of the Middle Ages. They are made of wood and have a capacity of 12 people.
