Dolphin Encounter in Madeira in Madeira
At the agreed time we'll meet at Do Mar Avenue, and we'll begin our unique experience: swimming with dolphins off the coast of the isle of Madeira. Are you ready?
We'll start the excursion by boarding a boat that will take us out to sea to one of the places known for the large number of dolphins that congregate there. As we sail on the Atlantic Ocean, the guide will tell us all about the life of the marine mammals that live in the waters around the Portuguese island.
Once we've reached the perfect spot, we'll stop the engine and wait for the dolphins to start appearing around the boat. It'll then be time to swim with them! In small groups we'll get into the water holding on to the rope attached to the boat, decked out in snorkeling material provided for us. Safely treading water, we'll enjoy an incredible experience of swimming alongside friendly dolphins. Unforgettable!
After sailing along the coast of Madeira, we'll return to the original meeting point where the activity will end 2 hours later.
Dolphin Sightings
Madeira Island has an exceptional natural environment that makes swimming with dolphins and other marine animals possible. However, the animals are unpredictable. The sighting of a greater or lesser number of dolphins will depend on various factors such as the weather at the time, sea currents, the direction of the winds or the breeding and calving seasons of the different species.
In order to preserve the natural environment of these animals, we can't guarantee that every swimming with dolphins experience will take place in the open sea. In 90% of these cases, swimming with these species does take place.
