Madeira's lakes are one of the Portuguese island's great tourist attractions. Discover them on this fantastic hiking route and enjoy dreamy waterfalls, streams, and lagoons.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Funchal at the indicated time and head by minibus to the valley of the Paúl da Serra plateau. Get ready to discover its natural secrets!
This incredible Madeiran plateau is dotted with small lagoons, streams, and rock formations derived from erosion and the force of water. For four hours, we will enjoy a hiking route through the lakes of Madeira Island, learning about their origin and the flora that surrounds them.
As we walk through the valley, we will discover hidden waterfalls, surreal terrain, and a jaw-dropping landscape as a backdrop. We will also follow paths almost erased by nature that will lead us to the oldest levada irrigation channel in the west of Madeira. The stunning panoramic views of the Paúl da Serra plateau will captivate you!
With all these unique landscapes engraved in our minds, we will start our way back to the original starting point. We'll get back on the minibus and take you back to your hotel, where we'll arrive 8 hours after pickup.
