North Madeira Island Guided Tour
North Madeira Island Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Madeira and set off for the northernmost part of the island.
We'll start the tour of the north of Madeira by visiting the city of São Vicente. This town, famous for its volcanic caves, is located at the mouth of the Ribeira Grande.
We'll continue the tour to the north of the island in the picturesque village of Ponta Delgada. There we'll visit the Senhor Bom Jesus Church, whose origins date back to the 15th century. The next stop will be in the rural village of Arco de São Jorge, where you'll have two hours of free time for lunch.
After regaining our strength, we'll head towards the village of Cabanas de São Jorge to enjoy its spectacular views of the northern coast of Madeira. The route will continue with a visit to a sugar mill in Porto da Cruz, which has been operating uninterruptedly since 1927.
We'll then move on to the Pico do Facho viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic views it offers of the town of Machico and the Ponta de São Lourenço. The last stop will be in Santa Cruz, one of the oldest villages on the island.
Finally, at 5 pm we'll drop you off at your hotel in Madeira.
