Frankfurt Christmas Market Tour
Frankfurt Christmas Market
Do you want to explore Frankfurt during this wonderful time of year? We'll meet at 11 am at the Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof department store. The glistening Christmas lights will guide us as we walk through the city centre.
We'll see traditional houses and stop in front of the intricately decorated shop windows. Everything will be ready and waiting for St. Nicholas to arrive. Did you know that in Germany children traditionally received their presents on Nikolaustag (St. Nicholas' Day) on the 6th of December? Nowadays, it's celebrated as a preliminary Christmas event. Next, we'll go to Römerberg Square, known as the most beautiful square in Frankfurt, and home to the most popular Christmas market in Frankfurt.
You'll smell cinnamon lingering around every corner, and feel like we're visiting Lapland itself while wandering past the various stalls. We'll discover traditional German Christmas food and admire the unique decorations.
You can't leave without sampling traditional mulled wine or hot chocolate. The tour will finish at Römerberg Square at 1:30 pm.
